You may have noticed that we've updated some of our imagery! In December we were very lucky to work with some incredible people to put together these beautiful photographs of our new products and also of our sister company Britten Weddings for our gorgeous new garters and bridal accessories. I just wanted to share a few of our favourites :)
Thank you so much to the wonderful team! xx

Christmas is fast approaching and we wanted to let all our brides know about when we are open and when they are to expect their order over the next few weeks.
The Wedding Garter Co and Britten will be closed from 5pm on Friday 22nd December 2017 and we will reopen 9am on the 2nd January 2018.
This will affect our delivery dates and we wanted to let you know that all orders made between December 22nd and January 1st will arrive no later and January 5th, this also includes any next day delivery orders.
If you urgently need an order between these dates you have til 1pm Friday 22nd December to place a Saturday guarantee next day delivery order or Thursday 21st December to place a next day delivery order. Any orders made after this time will arrive in the new year.
We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We don't really believe in promotions here at Britten and The Wedding Garter Co. As we make everything to order here in our boutique workshop we make none of the unnecessary mark ups that traditional retailers who have their products manufactured elsewhere incur. That way we can pass all of the savings onto our customers! Everything we make is priced accordingly to the cost of the materials and the time it takes us to make them.
Whilst we may not be able to make our prices lower we can however offer your free gift wrapping for this festive season! To make the most of this you need to add gift wrapping to cart when you place your order and then enter the code XMASWRAPPING at the checkout.
Merry Christmas from all of us here! x
Do you know someone who's having a winter wedding and you're wondering what to get them? How about one of the scent sets from Britten! We think they would make the perfect present this Christmas - who doesn't love the warm glow of a flickering candle on a cold day?
Available in scents to suit every taste we lovingly package a candle, room spray and diffuser into one of our Britten boxes finished with a beautiful bow.
We absolutely love for our brides to get to know a little bit more about the team here at The Wedding Garter Co and here is our second instalment of introducing you to our favourite garters from the collection.
Our designer Sarah's Favourite Garters.
Understandably Sarah was unable to decide one favourite design and has sent over a selection of her favourites. I am absolutely loving her selection and it might change my top garter of choice!
I completely understand why this garter is in the top three of our designers choice with the beautiful soft silk and intricate detail in the crystal flowers, a beautiful art deco piece which will always look beautiful on every bride.
The delicate design of the french eyelash lace of our Sara garter gives an extra feel of luxury when you put this garter on on the morning of your wedding day! It's beautiful dainty blue bow adds that little touch of tradition which you may not know how to incorporate into your bridal look.
Another beautiful choice! There is something so special about being able to personalise your garter with your new initials, the perfect way to jump into married life with your new husband/wife! This beautiful lace garter is hand embroidered within our boutique to make it that little extra special.
A gorgeous top 3 garters! I cannot wait to see the ones the rest of the team choose! Keep an eye out next week for our creator Luna's top choice.
We want you to get to know the team behind the scenes here at The Wedding Garter Co and over the next few weeks we will be introducing the incredible people in the team and what their favourite garter/s are within our beautiful collection.
Sophie's Favourite Garter.
That's me! I absolutely love all things weddings and wearing a garter on your wedding day, although I am very glad the initial tradition of your wedding garter is no more!
I absolutely love all of the garters in the collection and choosing my top one is incredibly difficult but I think it would have to be our Something blue lace wedding garter - Catherine.
I cannot resist the luxury of our Catherine garter, the beautiful lace which is created by the same lace makers who made the lace for our Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress! It is so beautifully handmade (like all items in our boutique) and it is finished off perfectly with a ruffle embellishment, the perfect blue satin ribbon and a single sparkling crystal.
There is just something special about the Catherine garter and I think this is my favourite at the moment - Although this may change as new items join our collections.
We absolutely love our garters here at The Wedding Garter co, we have a huge selection available for all brides. If you are looking for something with satin, lace, tulle or with a bit of a vintage feel, we will have the one for you.
Amongst this great selection we have also teamed up with our sister company Britten Weddings and have matched some of our beautiful garters with their show stopping veils. It might not be something you have thought of in the past but it's definitely a little detail that will make you feel incredible on your wedding day.
See the following 6 garters and veils that match perfectly.
The beautifull classic silk style tulle wedding garter Isabella with the single tier cut edge silk style wedding veil Isabella.
Do get in touch if you have any questions about finding your perfect garter or veil!
What do you do with your garter once you've worn it? Put it on display of course! It's probably a bit harder to frame your wedding dress but what a lovely way to have a constant reminder of the most special day of your life?
We make our garters with such love and care and they are true heirloom pieces which deserve to be treasured. Why not use any fabric samples you have from your dress or perhaps a copy of your wedding invitation to create a little collage of all your favourite bits? I've simply framed one of our something blue beaded garters 'Evony' along with a vintage Dior bowtie which I think look so sweet together!
Another lovely way to bring back memories is to use a scent. Our sister company Britten has a wonderful collection of candles, room sprays and diffusers which are all made locally in Bradford on Avon. My favourite is the Briar Rose which has hints of geranium and smells like a gorgeous summer garden.
We would love to know what you've done with your garter, have you framed it, kept it in a memory box or passed it on? We would love to hear from you!
