Although our wedding garters look very intricate and delicate, they are also quite strong in design, however as with any bridal accessory, we would always recommend taking care when trying them on. Here is a very short wedding garter instructions post on how to carefully remove a garter after you have tried it on.
Some of our garters are designed with an elasticated band that is encased in a band of silk. The elastic inside the silk garter can sometimes get twisted normally when a garter is taken off. The best way avoid this is to simply slide your hands between your leg and the garter on either side of your leg, stretch the garter outwards and guide the garter down your leg. Don’t pull the garter down with one hand as this pulling motion is what causes the garter to twist.
If you do find that the garter does twist after you have taken it off, it is very simple to fix so don’t panic! Once your garter is off simply place your hands inside the garter and gently stretch is outwards, and then release. A few times doing this should help untwist the elastic. After the elastic is back in place, the silk can easily be straightened up with a little care and attention if need be!
