The Tradition of the Wedding Garter.... and a FREE Toss Garter!

The tradition of wedding garters seems to date back to the middle ages when it was considered extremely good luck to obtain a piece of the brides clothing. This resulted in the grooms men rushing at the new bride to remove her wedding garters as a prize! As this often resulted in the destruction of the wedding dress the tradition of tossing the bridal garter came about. To this day the lucky man who catches the garter is said to be next in line for marriage!

Will you be taking part in this lovely little tradition? If so we do a simple but very pretty garter that you can toss to your wedding party. They are available in ivory lace or ivory velvet and adorned with a single glass pearl, the garters are normally £5 but for this weekend only we will include one for free with every purchase of a normal garter. Simply add the toss garter to your basket and enter the code TOSSGARTER at checkout. Expires 12pm Sunday 23rd February.

Happy weekend lovelies
